Dryer exhaust duct terminations shall be in accordance with the dryer manufacturer’s
installation instructions. Exhaust duct terminations shall be equipped with a
backdraft damper. Screens shall not be installed at the duct termination. Must be
minimum opening area of 12.5 square inches.

RE-ROOF INSPECTION CHECKLISTS
IN-PROGRESS INSPECTION:
The In-Progress Inspection is an opportunity to inspect the envelope is being installed
correctly, preferably while workers are installing the materials. A ladder must be set
up for the inspector on the day of inspection. The Reroof Affidavit certifies that the
deck was re-nailed to FBC 8

Edition (2023) requirements.
Reroof Inspection Affidavit is submitted or is in the permit box at time of the
IN-PROGRESS inspection. Failure to comply will result in a failed
inspection.
Underlayment(s) is completely installed.
Drip edge is completely installed.
Shingles are being installed so inspector can see attachment is correct.
Ladder is set up and easily accessible for the inspection.
You may give a time frame when requesting the inspection so the inspector
will know approximately when you will be at the “In-Progress” stage of
completion listed above.
You may call 727-392-1966 the morning of the inspection between 8:00-8:30
to get an estimated time frame for the inspection.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT stop and wait for an inspector on a re-roof project. If
the inspector does not arrive in time to inspect the materials being installed, you
may submit photos. Protecting the contents of the home and health of the
inhabitants is of highest priority.
FINAL INSPECTION:
In-Progress Inspection must be “passed.” If the status of the In-Progress
Inspection is “partial pass,” the final inspection will not be scheduled.
Roof is 100% complete.
No ladder needed at Final Inspection, unless greater than 1 story roof.
