The HR community can consider the following communications channels to create
awareness around the implementation of data visualization services government-
wide or new dashboards at the individual agency level.
FAQs:
List of frequently asked questions and
answers to address common questions
related to the dashboards or services
Talking Points:
Defined messages to support conversations
or meetings with agencies government-wide,
employees at the agency level, or other
stakeholders. For example, the gov. lead can
share talking points along with templates if
they want to influence how agencies talk
about the dashboards to their HR staff.
Communication Hub:
Central location to post updates and store
repository of past communications (Teams,
SharePoint, Intranet, Max.gov)
Interviews:
In-person or virtual sessions with key
stakeholders to build awareness, gather
insights and best practices, and inform next
steps
Status Reports or Notifications:
Regularly occurring or ad-hoc newsletters or
reports to update the intended audience on
new dashboards and enhancements –
applicable gov-wide and at the agency level
Meetings / Workshops / Roundtables:
Collaborative session to address specific
agenda topics: demo dashboards, prioritize
enhancements, gather feedback, share best
practices, etc.
E-mails, Newsletters, Bulletins:
Targeted communications aimed toward
driving awareness and adoption of new
dashboards, features, or services
Roadshow / Town Hall:
Roadshow presentations demoing new
dashboards, features, or other topics related
to the data visualization services
(government-wide or at the agency level)
Surveys & Assessments:
Develop and distribute surveys to gather
feedback or use assessments to determine
where stakeholders are on the change curve;
adjust communications and stakeholder
engagement activities accordingly
Office Hours:
Establish an open forum to gain buy-in,
address concerns, and answer questions
about dashboards, updates, or releases
Video Messages / Webinars:
Executives present (live or pre-recorded)
strategic communication to introduce and
gain buy-in on the dashboard, especially at
the agency level
Infographics and One Pagers:
Distribute short documents with text and
visuals, such as charts, graphs, or
screenshots, that can quickly convey
information about a dashboard in a user-
friendly and digestible format
