Designation of Israel into the Visa Waiver Program
On September 26, 2023, the Department of Homeland Security announced the designation of
Israel into the Visa Waiver Program (VWP).
On October 19, 2023, the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) was updated to
allow citizens and nationals of Israel to apply to travel to the United States for tourism or
business purposes for up to 90 days without first obtaining a U.S. visa.

itizens of Israel with valid B1/B2 visas can continue to use their visas for travel to the
United States until expiration.
