I am a Danish citizen; do I need a visa to travel to Israel?
No, Danish citizens do not need a visa to travel to Israel for touristic purposes for up to
90 days.
I have stamps from Arab / Muslim countries in my passport, is that a
problem?
Entry to Israel is not conditioned on stamps in the passport.
My passport expires less that 6 months from my return date, what do I
do?
You should contact the appropriate Danish authorities to get your passport extended or
get a new passport issued.
Can I travel to Israel on a temporary passport?
Yes, as long as it’s valid 6 months from your return date.
Can I travel to Israel on an extension of my passport?
Yes, as long as it’s valid 6 months from your return date.
How long does it take to get a visa?
Please allow 10-30 working days for processing a visa application. Please call us for
more information as the processing time can vary from case to case.
Can I get my visa outside the passport?
In general a visa is pasted into the passport. In certain rare cases we will be able to meet a
request for a visa issued on a separate paper. Please remember to tell us when submitting
your visa application.
Can I get the stamp outside my passport at the arrival in Israel?
Yes. Today all entry and exit stamps are given outside the passport.
I’m going on a business trip for a Danish company, do I need a visa?
An ordinary business trip has the same requirements as a touristic journey. Danish
citizens will therefore not need a visa.
I have a foreign passport that requires a visa to Israel, but I am a
permanent resident in Denmark, do I still need a visa?
Yes, visa requirements follow nationality and citizenship.
Can I go to Jordan or Egypt from Israel?
Yes, please check with the other countries’ embassies regarding visa requirements.
I live far away from the embassy; can I send my visa application to the
embassy?
No. All applicants have to submit their applications in person.
I need to bring medicine to Israel; do I need any special documentation?
Common medicaments in amounts for personal use usually don’t cause a problem when
entering Israel.
My Israeli passport has expired; can I travel to Israel with my Danish
passport?
No. According to the Israeli law, citizens have to travel in and out of Israel on their
Israeli passport.
