Israel Entry Requirements 2022
July 30, 2021
All countries have normal entry requirements for visiting foreigners. Due to Covid-19, requirements for entry into Israel
have recently been increased.
Israel Entry Requirements
As of July 30, 2021, these are the new requirements imposed by the State of Israel:
Be fully vaccinated and send a copy of your vaccine certificate in advance of your trip. (We will instruct you on
how to send this to us.)
Take a PCR test within 72 hours of departure and provide proof of the negative test result during check-in at
your departure airport. The test must contain your passport number.
Fill in the Entry Statement of health information no more than 24 hours before your flight’s scheduled
departure.
Take a PCR test upon arrival at the Tel Aviv airport cost currently $30 per person.
Take a Serological test upon arrival at our first hotel cost currently $100. This is expected to drop to about $40
soon. It is also expected that both the incoming PCR test and Serological tests will soon be administered at the
airport at the same time.
Take a PCR test at our hotel upon departure cost currently $100 (this also meets the current requirement of
the US government for Americans returning to the USA).
Carry and present a passport valid for six months from the date of entry into Israel. Passport application and
renewal times are currently several months long; if you need a new or a renewed passport, submitting this
application online should be your first priority.
No quarantining is necessary beyond the day of arrival unless test results are positive.
Only group travel is permitted and group members must arrive and depart on the same flight.
An easing of requirements and lighter protocols were expected to be adopted by August 1, but were postponed due to
the increased rate of Covid infections.
Due to the current requirement that groups arrive and depart on the same flight (last bullet), we are suspending any
decision on booking airfare for the time being. Please do NOT book airfare until instructed. We will monitor conditions,
hoping for a lessening of this requirement so everyone can book their own air preference. We will be in touch later this
summer or early fall with more news.
Walking Adventures International
WAI has only one requirement related to Covid; to read and sign the COVID-19 Travel Waiver. You received a link to this
form when you completed your registration. The waiver outlines the risks of which travelers need to be aware in the
unlikely event that they, or a fellow-travel, contract Covid-19 during the tour. Note that item #1 on the waiver applies
only to standard WAI tours, not to Israel 2022.
Willamette Christian Church, Beaverton Christian Church, and Hope City Church
The Church follows the requirements of the local governing authority, in this case, the country of Israel.
