MITSIS HOTELS WELCOMES LEGEND EMILIO BUTRAGUEÑO AT THE OPENING

CEREMONY OF THE REAL MADRID FOOTBALL CAMP IN KOS

Athens, July 12, 2022

Aspiring to offer a rich recreational programme to its guests, MITSIS HOTELS, the largest

privately-owned hotel company in Greece, partners with 14-times UEFA Champions

League winner Real Madrid, to host a Football Training Camp in Kos for its hotels’

young guests in the summer of 2022.

As part of the programme, MITSIS HOTELS was honoured to welcome Spanish legend

and Real Madrid champion Emilio Butragueño at the opening ceremony of the Training

Camp on July 11

. Butragueño spoke to the attendees on the value of sport, signed

autographs and took photos with his young fans. The Mayor of Kos, Theodosios

Nikitaras, also addressed participants at the event with a welcoming speech, stating that

“Ethos and character shape the personalities of young children and define our special

guest, Emilio Butragueño” and presented the renowned athlete with a commemorative plaque

of the Municipality of Kos.

The Real Madrid Foundation Clinic programme is held for the second consecutive year,

following the successful completion of the Football Camp in Rhodes in 2021. The partnership

will offer MITSIS HOTELS’ young guests world-class football training delivered directly by

the coaches of Real Madrid’s development teams. “The Clinic will offer participants the

opportunity to develop their football skills and enhance respect, teamwork and the idea of never

giving up, values that are central to the success of Real Madrid for decades”, noted Emilio

Butragueño in his speech.

The program is open to children aged 6 to 17 years old and will take place in Kardamena of

Kos for 7 weeks, from July 4 to August 19, 2022, with the participation of guests of the 5

MITSIS HOTELS properties in Kos –Blue Domes Resort & Spa, Family Village Beach Hotel,

Norida Beach Hotel, Ramira Beach Hotel and Summer Palace Beach Hotel. Training sessions

will take place 3 times a day for 3 different age groups.

In preparation for the Training Camp on the island, MITSIS HOTELS sponsored the

renovation of the facilities of the Municipal Football Field of Kardamena, which will host

youth talents after the conclusion of the programme, while the Group’s partnership with the

Real Madrid Foundation Clinic contributes to the promotion of Kos as an international sports

destination.
